Biodimension Raises Rs 8 Crore Funding Led by IAN Angel Fund to Accelerate Life Sciences Innovation

Bengaluru-based life sciences startup BioDimension has raised ₹8 crore in a funding round led by the IAN Angel Fund. Campus Angels Network, Dr. Sampath Srisailam, and angel investor Aryan Baid also participated in the round.

Founded in Bengaluru in 2021 by Manojkumar S, Ranjith Kumar Velusamy, and Pradeep Arunachalam, the startup focuses on developing biofabricated human tissue and organoid models. These are utilized by pharmaceutical, biotech, and cosmetic companies for testing drugs and products.

The newly raised funds will be used for new product development and to accelerate the expansion of laboratory infrastructure. The company also plans to build its team, specifically by recruiting scientists. This capital infusion will facilitate the company's expansion within India as well as on an international level.

This marks the second time the company has secured funding; it had previously raised ₹1.21 crore from the Campus Angels Network in October 2024.
