PlayBlue Secures $2.7 Million Seed Funding to Expand Sports Retail Business

 

PlayBlue has secured $2.7 million (approximately ₹23–26 crore) in funding. The funding round was led by Centre Court Capital and MIXI Global, with participation from WEH Ventures.

The company was founded in 2025 by Satyam Trivedi and Jayam Vora with the aim of taking the brand to every city in India. Satyam Trivedi previously served as CEO of GMR Sports and brings over 20 years of experience in the sports industry, while Jayam Vora is a co-founder of Fitternity. The startup aims to build an omnichannel sports retail platform in India.

The company plans to open over 150 stores in the next five years; the raised funds will be utilized for this purpose, as expanding the omnichannel retail network is a key objective. The company aspires to become one of India's largest sports networks.

Its goal is to provide customers with the opportunity to shop through both offline and online channels. The company is poised to benefit significantly from India's growing sports market in the future.
